Current notes

Current endorsements are dated, not blended into the historical archive.

That keeps a living political opinion from masquerading as a decade-old record, a distinction websites often find mysteriously difficult.

Current endorsement · November 3, 2026 runoff

Melanie Bagby for Sonoma County Supervisor, District 4

Randall has endorsed his friend Melanie Bagby for Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, District 4. Bagby led the June 2 primary with 37.9% of the vote and advanced to the November runoff with Tom Schwedhelm. The endorsement remains clearly dated current political material rather than being folded backward into the historical Council archive.

The friendship and public-service relationship predate this election. A 2020 regional-government photograph in the archive includes Randall, Bagby and Gavin Newsom, giving the endorsement a real history instead of making it look like a campaign-season acquaintance manufactured by a website.

Archive rule

Current political material gets a date and a source.

Historical campaign content, current endorsements, firsthand recollection and verified public records remain visibly distinct. Current political material is dated and sourced so it does not quietly rewrite the historical archive.
